What it looks like finished

Judged entirely from underneath.

Nobody sees the top of a ceiling panel. What matters is that the plane is continuous, the joints line through, and the fittings sit in the surface rather than on it.

Short answers. Where a figure is not confirmed yet the page says so instead of estimating it.

Why not just use plasterboard or timber outdoors?

Both fail on a moisture exposed soffit. Plaster stains and blows, timber moves and needs refinishing. An aluminium panel does neither, which is the whole reason the system exists.

Can fans and lights go into it?

Yes, and they should be set out before the panels go up so they sit flush in the plane rather than being cut in afterwards. Tell us where they go at specification stage.

Does it look like metal?

From standing height a timber look finish reads as timber. Up close it reads as metal. That is an honest trade and worth seeing a sample before you decide.

Is it the same panel used under your roofs?

Yes. The soffit of an ALUR Smart Roof is this panel, which is why the frame, trim and ceiling all match on a finished job.
